Robert Keith Llewellyn

Bottom of Page

Keith, as he prefers to be known as, first joined ASTRA in August 1983 when he met Oscar Schwiglhofer, Robert Law and Duncan Lunan. At this time the meetings took place at Airdrie Public Library once a month within the reference department.

In 1985 ASTRA changed it's Airdrie meetings from monthly meetings to weekly meetings. In the years that followed Keith decided to go to college, mainly as a result of the motivation he received during the ASTRA meetings. Keith says that he obtained a great deal of information/knowledge from the activities and lectures he attended which had been organised and/or managed by ASTRA.

Keith has been involved in a number of ASTRA activities including Open days at Airdrie Public Observatory, Aqua-jet competitions at the International Rocketry Weekends in Largs, and at Meteor Watches.

Keith has requested that it should be known that he has "enjoyed going to ASTRA in the past and hopes to continue to enjoy going to ASTRA events/activities long into the future".

I think we will all drink to that!
