At about the same time we learned
of the deaths of Pat Jones (see above) and Ken Collins of
Troon (not to be confused with the MEP of the same name, who
was a speaker at our 'Space and Scotland' weekend in the
High Frontier exhibition, 1979). Mr. Collins joined ASTRA
after a lecture I gave to Troon Arts Guild but he never
attended a society meeting, although he made a point of
acquiring all our publications and items for sale. Because
of his interest we kept him on the mailing list when his
subscription lapsed, but in due course we were informed that
he had died two years before.
