The members of the 1997 Airdrie Branch Rocketry Team held high hopes of winning the Open Aquajet Competition, thereby allowing the Schwiglhofer Trophy to 'come home'.
The team consisted of - Raymond McCall; David Baird; Keith Llewellyn.
Front Row, Left to Right: When asked to predict how their rockets would fly in the competition:
On the day the team proved that the Airdrie Branch Rocketry Team were nothing if not consistent by coming second in the Open Aquajet Competition. This result was accepted with Airdrie's usually good will and sportsmanship, despite the fact that the distances flown during the mornings practice session were much greater than those attained during the actual competition. |
