Yet again the Airdrie Branch Rocketry Team headed down to the International Rocketry Weekend with hopes of winning the Aquajet Competition for the Schwiglhofer Trophy, and thus be able to bring the trophy 'home' to Airdrie.

The team consisted of:

On the day however history repeated itself and the Paisley Rocketeers won the Aquajet Competition for the Schwiglhofer Trophy. The Airdrie branch of ASTRA never mind when the Paisley Rocketeers win, but it would be good to occasionly have a win - never mind there's always next year.

The Airdrie Branch Rocketry Team did have a success however in the Open Aquajet Competition with Raymond McCall winning the competition for ASTRA.

There was a special award made during the Sunday afternoon evenings to the Paisley Rocketeers for their contribution to amateur rocketry. The presentation was made to John Stewart by John Bonsor
