Franco's Personal Summary Important Dates - The material contained within these
pages has been created by Nick
Franco to which full credit is
given here. Nick
Franco has kindly allowed this
material to be used by other people and organisations for
none profit purposes (see the copyright
information
at the foot
of this page.) This page wouldn't be
complete if I didn't give credit to the following people.
However, blame for any mistakes or dislike should be laid at
my feet. Nick
Franco My friend and fellow
aviation nut of almost 20 years, he's had the patience to
suffer travelling around the country to see aircraft, and
listen to me go on for hours about stuff in
general! Dr. Raymond
Puffer As a historian at
Edwards AFB, he's let me climb in, around, and through all
the documentation and video available in the archives. Not
to mention not having the MP's come and take me away after a
while! The rest of the
people at the Edwards History Office Even though I almost
forced the copier to commit ritual suicide, and was
generally a pest, they didn't have me thrown out
either! Eric Canale, Premiere
Radio Networks This is the poor guy
who willingly subjected himself to the agony of "can we do
this a little differently" while scanning a number of the
pictures used on the page. Donald Mallick, NASA
test pilot, XB-70 program One of only two
pilots to have ever flown both of the USAF's only Mach 3
aircraft, I greatly appreciate his taking the time to make
sure I hadn't made any grievous errors within the
page! Ed Rees The author of The
Manned Missile, it was his writing that began my fascination
with the Valkyrie. Steve Pace Author of Valkyrie -
North American XB-70, his book provides excellent material
on the XB-70, especially of the more technical details that
I've avoided. Several people I
don't have names for! I lost track of the
names of all different people who mailed me old articles, or
had stories about the Valkyrie, and in general helped smooth
out a lot of the edges, and add a lot of depth that
otherwise would have been lost. And no help from
Rockwell International at all! Well, at least not
directly to me -- I've been informed that they "cannot
afford" to pull out the material and let me go through it in
a conference room. Questions or
comments? Mail me at thumper@interceptor.com. Copyright
