"Crop Circles are known to be real by U.S. government"

The Republic of San Marino is the smallest self governed republic in the
world.  It is beautifully perched on a mountain and a few miles in-land
from the 'Italian' Adriatic coast.  The government of San Marino have
offered its voice in the United Nations to once again try and activate
decision 33/426 adopted at the 87th plenary meeting of the General Assembly
on December 18th, 1978. The decision would allow the "Establishment of an
Agency or a Department of the United nations for undertaking, coordinating
and disseminating the results of research into unidentified flying object
and related phenomena".   Several ministers and government officials met
leading researchers in the field of UFO and associated phenomenon at an
international conference held between 3-5th April in San Marino.

The French Government sent the head of their CNES department, Prof. Jean
Jacques Velasco.  There were also representatives from the Italian and
Belgian Air Force, amongst others.

Also present was Col. Philip J. Corso, (Ret.) who was the military aid to
President Eisenhower at the White House.  He has held positions on the
National Security Council as well as being the former head of Foreign
Technology Desk at the U.S. Army's Research and Development Department.

During 1961 he was in command of a highly classified weapons development
budget for the Pentagon and was given access to UFO material.

As we all worked over the week-end presenting our research data and trying
to formulate a charter for presentation to the San Marino government, I
spoke with the Col. Corso about the crop circles research. I asked what he
knew about the U.S. government's knowledge of them ?. He told me that when
he was working in the White House, they received reports on the crop
circles from time to time.  "We knew they were real, but we decided not to
place them high on our list of funding proposals.  You see we were
interested in extraterrestrial artifact at the time, this is what we geared
up for.  The NSA were interested in them so we decided to leave them to
others".

I asked him what they thought they were ? "We thought they were a message
of some kind.  We thought that they were part of an integrated circuit and
that eventually they would provide a complete picture of a circuit we could
use".

I found these answers fascinating and will be pursuing them in the near
future (full report in the next CPRI newsletter).

Other important people were present including Prof. Auguste Meessen from
Belgium, who was the scientist who completed the investigation into the
Belgian UFO flap some years ago for the Belgium government.  I spent some
time discussing ways in which he could assist us with our own research.  A
program is being formulated .

The nephew of Sir Winston Churchill, Desmond Leslie also provided very
interesting testimony.

Amongst signatures to the San Marino Charter were:

Antonio Huneeus (Chile), Ivan Mohoric (Slovenia), Candida Mammolito
(Switzerland), Dr. David Jacobs (USA), Prof. Adhemar Gevaerd (Brazil),
Desmond Leslie (Ireland), Michael Hesemann (Germany).

We take this message on to China in October as the Chinese government have
invited most of this same team to fly to Hong Kong where the best available
evidence for UFO's and Crop Circles will be presented.  In recent months
other government departments have also asked members of this team to
present research findings - they include Japan and Brazil.

We must all keep our fingers crossed for success at the United Nations
soon, as the crop circles become ever revealing and UFO sightings increase.
