For those of you who don't know, Octobriana is the cult Russian comic strip
character who first appeared in the Western world in 1971, within the pages
of the book, Octobriana and the Russian Underground, by Petr Sadecky. If

Octobriana, the winner of the 'Best New British Comic' award at the first UK National Comic Awards in March, is to be re-launced in December. The new 2 issue mini-series is called Octobriana: Filling In The Blanks and is designed to serve as the perfect introduction to this fascinating comics character.
The central character of Octobriana: Filling In The Blanks is Carl Malone, a 40 year old UFO and conspiracy nut. He is also the editor and main feature writer of The Conspiracist - a magazine dedicated to UFO sightings, alien abductions and all sorts of weird paranormal conspiracy stuff.
"The aim of the story is to establish Octobriana as a figurehead for the oppressed." says series writer and publisher Stuart Taylor. "Octobriana fights for the ideal that everyone should be free to express their own ideas and philosophies, without fear of oppression."

The prologue strip, called 'Sleep To Dream', is written by Stuart Taylor and drawn by Dave Roberts. This is a unique taster for the new comic series, which wraps up one of the major plotlines from the Revolution Comics mini-series.
Stuart Taylor is the writer of The Octobriana Files, one of the two strips from the award winning Octobriana mini-series. As well as writing and publishing Octobriana: Filling In The Blanks, Stuart works full-time on the top-selling, English UFO and related paranormal magazine, Alien Encounters. It is his experiences on this magazine that led to the creation of Carl Malone. English artist Dave Roberts pencils have appeared in the first and second series of Malibu's Mantra series, and he has also recently been working on AC Comics Femforce and Timestorm graphic novel.
Octobriana: Filling In The Blanks is
published by Artful Salamander will be listed for distribution in
October's Diamond Previews #10, and will be available from all good comic stores
