Merchant Taylors' School Webring

Webring Admission Criteria

The Merchant Taylors' School Webring is designed to link together web sites owned or managed by pupils and/or teachers at any Merchant Taylors' School in the UK. Slightly different criteria relate to web sites from different schools as a result of a vote of webring members.

Please read and understand the following:

  1. In order to become a member of the webring the web site must be owned or operated by:
    1. Any pupil of Merchant Taylors' School in Northwood.
    2. Any pupil of any Merchant Taylors' School which has it's own web site on the webring.
    3. Any ex-pupil that would have met criteria i. or ii. and has left their school within the past 12 months.

      N.B. Exemption from criteria ii. may be possible under extenuating circumstances e.g. the school in question does not have a web site.

  2. In order to become a member of the webring the web site must not contain:
    1. Any defamatory, libellous or pornographic material.
    2. Any links to the material specified in i.
    3. Information or tools related to hacking.
  3. In order to remain a member of the webring:
    1. The site owner must continue to display the HTML fragment on the page of the site that the webring links to.
    2. The site owner must continue to meet criteria 1.i. or 1.ii. or
    3. The site owner must be an ex-pupil who would have met criteria 1.i or 1.ii and is currently either taking a GAP year or at university. Any member of the webring can remain so until he/she completes their university course.
  4. In all administration processes regarding site admission or removal the decision of the ringmaster is final.
