Name: Stuart Brunton

EMail: thunderwing@msn.com subject: Child in Beltane! age: 23

Favourite Marc Bolan Song: Thunderwing, and Monolith

Favourite Marc Bolan Album: Dandy in the Underworld

Favourite Marc Bolan Quote: "I met and old man in New York... yeah he owned a tree... used to rent it to the King for a sundial... Was he rich? ...no but he had lots of money... couldn't score me any love though... no trouble at all......" - Born To Boogie

First Bolan experience: A friend's older brother had a couple of compilations... Solid Gold Easy Action was the first that I saw. "Who's the bloke with the hat???" I asked. He didn't know. "And what's a TREX (pronounced :"trecks"???" "T. Rex!" he said with a snort. So I put it on... "Well you're dirty and sweet..." I heard that riff and I was hooked and it all grew from there.........

What would you like to tell the world about Marc Bolan: I just think that there's a place in the world for simple beauty and magic of sorts. Marc was able to bring that to me, and continues to do so. There's also a need for people to have a well-placed ego, which Marc had. Let's face it, if you can't love yourself a bit, who else can? For those who write Marc off as commercial, or vapid, or whatever... SPAZ from Slider says it best when he says "Some of our best friends are three minutes long"

Favourite Marc Bolan site on the Web: This one's not bad at all, but I quite like Dave Regenold's site

How did you find this site: Slider

Comments: Keep it coming! I'd like to see downloadable snippets of interviews, recorded quotes etc (copyright permitting), and perhaps a list of Bolan-related reading material (books, magazine articles, etc.) I don't think we need Bramley bashing - we can do that in the Slider list! (I got burned too when I didn't know any better...oops!) You've Got The Power, Russ! thunderwing@msn.com
