Welcome to the Open Kite Project.

The goals of this project are as follows:

1. To create an open, expressive and platform-independent interchange format for kite design information.
2. To create an open source, distributable, platform independent toolkit for designing kites.
3. To create open-source interfaces to this toolkit for specific platforms, tailored to specific kite design tasks.
