Nutfield Millennium Vintage
Last year the Wine Club produced it's own 2000 vintage to celebrate the new
millennium, using fruits and grapes from the villages of Nutfield. Acting on
our behalf, Godfrey Akehurst and Nick Mahony produced 180 bottles of Nutfield
Millennium Vintage wine. This wine was served at the Millennium Ball, and to
100 guests in the big marquee at the Pensioners' Club Luncheon. There were also
tastings, by invitation, for neighbours in Kings Mead, Bower Hill Close and
Trindles Road, and an open-to-all tasting in Anne Morton's garden.
Also Andy Crook and John Fenn of the Wine Club ran a Quiz Evening in Millennium
Festival Week, raising £70 for Gt. Ormond St. hospital.Click
