    SfL welcome the news of Simon Singh's successful appeal against his preliminary judgement so that he can continue to fight his case against the British Chiropractic Association. SfL supports the campaign run by Sense about Science for reform of the Libel laws in matters of scientific integrity and reporting.

    This resolution will enable us to: represent this issue to the party seek cooperation with our fellow socialist society The society of Labour Lawyers on this matter.

What are the Science funding priorities for a period when the country is coming out of recession? How do we get the applied / fundamental research balance right?

The “Priorities for Science Funding” meeting is expected to end at 4.00pm. The business AGM may need to be reconvened after 4.00.m

Be prepared to go through security checks. The Room has been booked by Brian Iddon MP It is possible that a different committee room will be made available on the day.
