REPORT ON OPEN MEETING ON 'SCIENCE AND THE MEDIA' The 2004 Annual General Meeting of Scientists for Labour was held on 13 May 2004, at Westminster.and was followed by an OPEN MEETING on “Science and the Media”, with an impressive panel of speakers, including the Prof. Colin Blakemore (MRC), the Science Minister David Sainsbury, the Director of the Science Media Centre, Fiona Fox and Richard Ladle of the Biodivesity Research Group. The preceding AGM and meeting (Westminster, May, 2003, ) convened by SfL was on the subject of The Public Perception of Risk.

The previous meeting (May, 2002) held jointly with SERA (Socialist Environment and Resources Association) was on the topic: Can a scientific approach make agriculture more sustainable?
