COMMONWEALTH HEADS OF
GOVERNMENT MEETING (CHOGM)
The biennial summit of CHOGM returns to the UK for the
first time in 20 years. The meeting will take place in
Edinburgh.To celebrate the meeting and help promote information
about the Commonwealth and its relevance to the public,
espeically to young people, 1997 has been declared the UK Year
of the Commonwealth.
VICTORIA
& ALBERT MUSEUM EXHIBITION
Exhibition - Colours of the Indus: Costumes and Textiles
of Pakistan. The first major exhibition of the rich textile and
dress traditions of Pakistan. Accompanied by a book on the
subject, the first of its kind. Early
