The River Medway
About the images used on these pages...
Broadly speaking, there are 4 types of image dotted about these pages :-
  • Panoramics. These require the RealSpace plugin - links are provided on the relevant pages, or you could click here to download it. They were captured using my AGFA 307 digital camera and a tripod - I take 15 shots, at 640*480 pixels, and feed them into Live Picture's PhotoVista 1.0
  • Hi resolution. These were originally acquired on that quaint old-fashioned medium, 35mm film, then scanned in using a flat bed scanner. They are normally at a resolution of 800*600, in millions of colours, but sometimes I crop them for greater effect.
  • Medium resolution. These are normally taken on the digital camera at its highest resolution, 640*480 (millions of colours). It can hold 36 of these, so on a 'shoot' I can normally capture 2 panoramic views and have space for a couple of extra shots.
  • Low resolution. These are normally taken on the digital camera on its low resolution setting, 320*240 (still in millions of colours).
Whenever I have a collection of images from the same area to show you, there will be a link to a thumbnail sheet. On this page will be a little representation of each image, alongside a brief description. Clicking on the thumbnail will cause the larger picture to be downloaded.
