Background:
I live in Texas and have only become a Highlander fan in the
last year or so. When Sophie and Tasha first proposed doing
a fanfic season, it sounded like a fun idea and I already
had a scene rattling around in the back of my head, so the
next thing I knew, I was committed. Of course I was already
committed to do a few other things, like finish my dissertation
(I have a Ph.D. in Computer Science), but I eventually got
around to fanficcing (is that a word?) and it's been a blast.
Thanks to Olwyn Mitchell, my editor, for her input, and most
especially to Kat Parsons, my beta reader, for all sorts of
suggestions, corrections, and "when are you going to send
the next bit?" nagging. :-) |
Bibliography:
This was my second attempt at a fanfic short story. The first
attempt, written four years ago, is a Quantum Leap story called
"Afterimage", which can still be found on the Web at
ftp://ftpeng.cisco.com/ql-archive/alt.ql.creative/afterimage.
I'm currently working on a Highlander story, tentatively titled
"Lines of Communication," with Kat Parsons. Basically, I sent
her some fan email about one of her Star Wars sillies, and
one thing led to another... |
