POETRY IN THE PRESENT
This page is about poetry. It is about creating web poets of young people. The poetry that you submit can be of any style and subject, however if I see it as inappropriate I will not put it on the page.
Poetry truly is an expressive form of writing and for young adults it can be a useful release to many pressures that they may feel. Alternatively people might use it to show their feelings towards someone or something.
Poetry can be emailed to me at tfrg@easynet.co.uk .I hope to then publish some work on this page and then people will be invited to email their comments, so when submitting your poetry be prepared for real, online criticism!
WRITER'S SOURCES.
There are numerous good sites on the Internet, which give good tips and definitions in writing poetry. These are listed below and might be useful to you in writing your own poems. Click on the icon next to the title to go to that page.

Green Awards.
This is an area to reward your poetic efforts. It may seem a stupid idea for just one person to judge a poem, but is that not what poetry is about? Poetry is a subjective form of writing and each individual who reads a poem reacts to it in a different way.
Therefore these awards represent my personal reaction to your poems. They are intended to show how your poetry has pleased at least one individual.
I will award this award to work that I feel is highly original, that uses poetic devices and above all really 'paints' a picture in my mind.
I will award this award to work that I feel is imaginative and conveys the writer's feelings or thoughts well.
This is an award given to writers who have obvious potential.
If you chose to accept these awards and display them on your own pages you must give other poets a chance to win awards by linking back to this page
