Here on the left and opposite the High Street is the gated entrance to a building of key importance to Wrotham, Wrotham Palace. This house was once the haunt of royalty. Henry VIII was staying here while he awaited news of Anne Boleyn's execution. Scarecrow tours have plans to include a full tour of this outstanding historic monument, watch this space.
