Map Point 7 Right.
A little peek into Stone Barn Oast. In the past these round
buildings or kilns were used all over Kent to dry the hops
used in traditional British beers, giving the characteristic
bitter taste. Most of these buildings have now been
converted into very desirable houses.
Its been a long time since hops dried here, it used to be
used as a farmers store house. It lay derelict for many
years and has recently been rebuilt from just above the
ground up.
