Welcome to The Scarecrow's guided tour of the Old Archbishop's Palace.

The exact age of this delightful building can only be guessed at, but its quite possible that some form of dwelling for the clergy existed here within a hundred years of the original church. That could put it in the eleventh century.
A massive amount of work has had to be done to preserve this building and grounds, I am sure you will agree that such a building is a jewel in any village crown. OK, we will walk clockwise around the building, the west end we will see first was in good condition and so has not been greatly restored. Follow me.

Follow me please, keep together and watch out for the dogs
