Norwegian Forest Cat
The Norwegian Forest Cat is a breed of domestic cat accepted by the GCCF.
Introduction
The Norwegian Forest Cat is a breed that is not very well known in the UK, but is similar to the Maine Coon breed. There are a number of clubs in the UK that support this breed.
Background
Magnus Longshanks, our Norwegian Forest Cat, is a very special cat. He is, at the time of writing, four years old.
Pedigree
Magnus is, of course, a pedigree. In the UK there are a limited number of breeders of Norwegian Forest Cats. We got Magnus from Maysula. We have our certificate with his family tree. He was one of two male kittens born, so they are due to be large, and when we saw him with another little of the same age, you could see that he and his brother (called Gandalf) were larger than the others. He is officially a Blue and White colour. However, to the uninitiated blue is really a blueish grey colour.
